Can Trump Really Be a Modern-Day Cyrus?

Donald Trump 2“Four years ago the Lord spoke to me and told me that in the next election, He would put a Cyrus in the White House. In fact, He said that the mantle would flow out to many, and they would do the work to galvanize the people to liberate America. I believe He will do this if we will pray. Everywhere I went I shared the vision of the Lord. I have had several dreams and visions about Donald Trump and each time, he seemed to come out of nowhere to take on the establishment! Then it began to happen.”

I’ve made a couple of trips to Trump Towers and am known as the “Cyrus Guy” for my prophetic word to Mr. Trump. But I am still shaken by something I heard in my spirit – “he will rise or fall depending upon the counsel he receives.” He needs us to pray for him to be surrounded with wise counsel.

Several well-known prophets have spoken about Donald Trump being the modern-day Cyrus for America.  Yet it seems that so many people are disillusioned with Trump and feel that all hope is lost for the November election.  People are saying they can’t vote for Trump in good conscience.  Something is wrong here.  God is doing some major things in our nation and it’s time for us to get on board with Him lest we miss our opportunity to see the change He wants to bring about.  Let’s begin by looking at what God said about Cyrus in Isaiah 45:1-8:

This is what the LORD says to His Anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. “You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it.

Cyrus did not know or acknowledge the God of Israel, yet God chose to use him.  We don’t know why God chose him, but we do know that man looks at the outward appearance, while God looks at the heart.  In the natural, Cyrus was known as a just king.  He had no desire to oppress people or steal their heritage and religion from them.  Rather than being a conqueror, he saw himself as a liberator.  The citizens of Babylon cheered when he took over their land because of his reputation as a lover of justice.  He looked for things that worked in each culture, and then sought to implement them throughout the kingdom for the benefit of all.  He respected people, a trait very rare among kings.

For whatever reason God chose Him, it was His choice to make.  Cyrus worshipped Ahura Mazda and relied on his help, yet God was going to make Himself known to Cyrus as the true source of his blessing.  The following is an excerpt from the famous Cyrus Cylinder that was uncovered in the ruins of Babylon in 1879.

“Now that I put the crown of kingdom of Iran, Babylon, and the nations of the four directions on the head with the help of (Ahura) Mazda, I announce that I will respect the traditions, customs and religions of the nations of my empire and never let any of my governors and subordinates look down on or insult them until I am alive. From now on, till (Ahura) Mazda grants me the kingdom favor, I will impose my monarchy on no nation.”

God used this man to free the Jews and allow them to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem.  The Jews were, no doubt, shocked to find this kind of favor coming from a gentile king.  When God spoke of “His anointed” it had always been a title for prophets, priests and kings of Israel.  It was the title for the Messiah.  How startling it must have been when the Jews realized this prophecy was speaking of a gentile king.  The Lord God of Israel chose to put His Spirit upon Cyrus so that he could complete the assignment God had for him.  God gave him supernatural ability and blessed him with great wealth and resources to accomplish it.

Now, if God did that in 539 B.C., what can stop Him from doing it again in our day?  The Word tells us that He doesn’t do anything without first releasing His strategy through His prophets.  The prophets of our day have been speaking that God has a new Cyrus anointed to deliver America from the grip of the enemy.  Why?  Because God loves America and wants to set her free.  Despite our wickedness, God is our Redeemer and the Blood of Jesus has already been shed so that we can fulfill our destiny as a nation.  God is only looking for us to agree with Him!  God is speaking in so many ways, making it easy for us to receive His instruction and His heart, but are we so dull of hearing that we can’t interpret the signs of our times?  Our next president will be the 45th president.  The prophecy about the first Cyrus is found in Isaiah 45:1-8.  The time has come for Isaiah 45 to be brought forth again.

In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, Jesus addresses the seven churches, which are representative of churches throughout the ages, but that also address key issues that He is dealing with in His church in these last days.  At the end of every message to the churches, Jesus says, “He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.”  Oh, that we might hear what the Spirit is saying to the church, the Body of Christ in our day!  If God is saying that He is going to anoint Donald Trump as His Cyrus to bring a turnaround in America, then who are we to say He can’t do it this way?  Let’s not allow a religious spirit to hinder our deliverance!  How can we say we will not vote for Trump because it goes against our conscience, if God says, “This is the one I’m going to use?”  This is foolishness!  It’s no wonder then, that the verses immediately following God’s decree about Cyrus contain a rebuke to the people that would doubt God’s use of a gentile.

“How bad it will be for anyone who disputes with the very One who created him!  After all, a human being is nothing more than one clay pot among many.  Imagine the clay saying to the potter, “What do you think you’re doing?”  or “You don’t have the hands for this.”  It’s as idiotic as asking a mother or father, “What are you birthing or begetting?”  So the Eternal One, who is the Holy One and Maker of Israel, says,  Are you really going to question Me about what will happen to My children, or lecture Me about what I should do with the ones I made with My own hands?

“It is I who made the very ground on which you stand, I who shaped the human beings who walk around on it. I pulled the sky and the heavens taut with My own hands, and organized the army of stars that march across the night sky.  So it was perfectly right for me to raise up Cyrus; I will make his road ahead straight and level, so that he will rebuild My chosen place, My city Jerusalem, and set My exiled people free without exacting a price or seeking a bribe.”  Isaiah 45:9-13 The Voice

Our eyes need to be on Jesus and our ears need to be tuned to Heaven, not the media or the voices of doom.  The accuser wants to highlight every fault and certainly, there are many faults, but that is not our concern.  Our concern is to do the will of our Father and stand in agreement with what He is doing.  Let us turn to the Word instead of the news and be encouraged that God is doing so great a work on our behalf.  Let us turn to pray instead of agreeing with accusation against this one God has chosen.  We need to lift our voices in unity for the deliverance of this nation and let God be God in how He answers our prayers.

Father, forgive us for our stubborn ways and our lack of understanding.  Open our ears that we may truly hear from Heaven and shout back a resounding, “Yes!” in agreement with Your plans and purposes.  Grant us grace to pray fervently for Your anointed Cyrus in our day.  Thank you that You love America and You are not willing to turn away from us.  Let the Blood of Jesus cover our sins as a nation and bring us back to the destiny that You had for us from the beginning.  Let Your Glory be seen in America as You work repentance in our hearts and cleanse our land.  Amen and amen!

Purim – A Time to Defeat the Haman/Amalekite Spirit

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”  Moses built an altar and named it The Lord is My Banner;  and he said, “The Lord has sworn; the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.”  Ex 17:14-16

The altar called “the Lord is my Banner (or victory)” shows that it takes complete dependence on the Lord to defeat this enemy.  The altar is the place of worship and sacrifice.  As we worship at the Lord’s altar and declare “He is our victory,” He defeats His enemies!

Joshua

God made this promise to Joshua who faithfully completed his assignment to lead the young generation into the Promised Land.   God’s promise to Joshua, and all succeeding generations, was that if we would do our part, God would be with us and do His part to defeat the Amalekite spirit.   God was already planning to send Jesus (a transliteration of the Hebrew name Joshua) as the ultimate Deliverer.

Today we are a Joshua generation, a people rising up to believe God for His promises to manifest.  As Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms, so we are to stand together fighting under the Lord’s banner.  Moses, Aaron and Hur were worshipping and praying while others were fighting.  This is worship warfare – everyone doing their part.

This war will go on in every generation until the Amalekite spirit is utterly defeated.  Be encouraged as you see the people of God awakening and rising up as one to pray and seek the strategies of heaven.  God is faithful and He has already sent His Deliverer.  Victory is assured!

Saul

Six hundred years later, King Saul was instructed by Samuel:

Then Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt.  Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”  1 Sam 15:1-3

Saul did not have a great track record for obeying God, but God gave him another chance.  He gave Israel the offensive position this time and Saul had the opportunity to redeem himself.   Sadly, he was more concerned with his own agenda.  He pursued all the Amalekites and killed them but decided to spare King Agag and the best of the livestock.  Saul was still set on pleasing people more than pleasing God.   When Samuel questioned him, Saul tried to convince him that he had obeyed.

Those who do not FEAR the Lord end up being rejected by Him, just as Saul was removed from his kingship and the Israelites were not allowed to enter the Promised Land.

Disobedience empowers the Amalekite spirit.  When we disobey God, we are not worshipping at God’s altar, but at the altar of a foreign god, where satan and his demons reign.  This gives the enemy power to affect our lives.  On the contrary, when we obey God, it brings blessings to our lives.

David

When David became King, he had the same charge – to wipe out the Amalekites.  He obeyed and the Lord gave Him rest from all his enemies.  That brought blessing to the whole nation.  David destroyed them in the natural, but the spirit of the Amalekites is still at work through those that are willing to worship at that altar.   We, however, have been given the Spirit of the Living God to overthrow every enemy that stands against the purpose of God.  Like David, we can defeat the Amalekite/Haman spirit in our cities and nations.

Other Examples

Between 605 and 539 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar partnered with the Amalekite spirit by attacking Jerusalem, destroying the city, killing many Jews and leading the rest into exile in Babylon.  Here they were held in captivity for 70 years, but God delivered them as He had prophesied by raising up Nehemiah and Ezra to lead the people back and rebuild God’s house.  He used the leaders of the newly formed Medo-Persian Empire to fund this restoration.  Daniel was part of this process.

Haman rose out of the Medo-Persian Empire between 539 and 331 B.C.  seeking to destroy the Jews. Mordecai and Esther were positioned for such a time as this to speak on behalf of the Jews and avert their destruction.  The memorial commemorating this victory is Purim.

When Greece became the next world empire from 331 through 168 B.C., Antiochus Ephiphanes determined to wipe out the Jews.  Judas Maccabees led the revolt and defeated the Amalekite spirit.  The memorial commemorating this victory is Hanukkah.

As Rome established itself as the next world empire in 168 B.C., there were multiple leaders that attacked the Jews.  Nero was the fierce violence behind the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 A.D. and persecution of both Jews and Christians.  By this time, the Messiah had already come, fulfilling the prophetic picture of Passover.  Unfortunately,  the Jews rejected Him as their Deliverer.  They are still bearing the curse of their disobedience.  No more appointed times (Biblical Holidays) were  established after Jesus’ victory on the Cross.  We need only remember the ones God has given and embrace the Messiah, He is the One that is highlighted in every feast.

Since the fall of the Roman Empire, there has been much chaos in the nations of the world.    Hitler arose in the West, Islamic territories arose in the East, and now the world is full of this Amalekite spirit that still seeks to destroy the people of God, both Jews and Christians.  God made a way for the State of Israel to exist, to re-establish the Promised Land.  He has been perserving the Jews from their enemies in this battle for land since 1948, but they are under constant threat from their enemies.  God has kept them from extinction, but they suffer greatly because, as a nation, they still have not received their Messiah.  America is facing the same test.  We were a blessed nation because we belonged to Jesus, but if we will not return to the Lord, we will face the same kind of hardship Israel has faced.

This is the picture painted by Daniel’s statue with the head of gold, the chest of silver, the loins of brass, and the legs of iron.  As the return of Jesus draws near, we are beginning to see more clearly who makes up the ten toes of this statue and the revealing of  the anti-christ.  The fiercest battle is still ahead.  The Deliverer of the Jews continues to wait for His people to turn to Him.  In the meantime, these appointed times recorded in God’s Word are here to cause us to remember, rejoice and return to the only One that can truly deliver.  His promise stands firm forever.  He will deliver His people and we shall spend eternity with Him, rejoicing!

Happy Purim!

David’s Tent and the Feast of Tabernacles

2 October 2012
Comments Off on David’s Tent and the Feast of Tabernacles

When David became King of Israel, he desired to bring the Lord’s Presence (the Ark) into Jerusalem.  His first attempt to move the Ark on an oxcart failed and brought death because David did not seek the Lord’s direction for how to move the Ark.  After inquiring of the Lord, David understood that the Lord wanted the Ark to be carried on the shoulders of His Priests.  In other words, the Lord’s Presence would be carried by His people, a people that had sanctified themselves and been prepared to carry Him.  Movement of the Ark was accompanied by sacrifices and jubilant praise and worship.  When the Ark arrived at the place David had prepared, it was not the Tabernacle of Moses, it was a simple tent in which the Ark would be accessible to all the people.  Scripture seems to bear out that David moved the Ark into this tent, or tabernacle, during the time of the Feast of Tabernacles.  In latter years, we read that it was during this Feast that both Solomon and Ezra dedicated the Temples to God.

When Jesus came to the earth, He came to tabernacle, or dwell, among His people (John 1:14).  He walked among us and then He died on the Cross.  At His death, the curtain which separated the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place was ripped in two. The Ark of God’s Presence was revealed when the curtain was removed, signifying that all people have access to His Presence.  David’s tabernacle prophesied God’s desire to dwell among His people.  Jesus’ death made it possible.  This is the ultimate expression of the Feast of Tabernacles.  As Believers, our eternal destiny is to be with Him forever.  There are so many aspects of this Feast that deserve study and Jesus fulfills them all, i.e. the Light of the World, the Living Water, Jesus birth occuring during this Feast, etc.  Jesus’ death opened the way for us, but the fullness will be realized when He comes again to receive His Bride.

I believe there is a correlation between the restoration of David’s Tabernacle and the Feast.  Simply put, the restoration of David’s Tabernacle implies the Body of Christ, Jews and Gentiles, coming together in unity with one purpose, to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  It includes day and night worship, sacrifices of praise, offerings of our whole heart placed on the altar, sanctified lifestyles, generosity to the poor and humility.  It means we are fully submitted to God and each other, we know how to flow with His heart, giving honor and preference to each other’s gifts.  When the unified Body communes with God and each other in this way, God releases His blessing, He releases greater revelation and understanding. This unified Bride of Christ will have power and authority to reap the Harvest of the Ages.  People won’t be able to resist Her beauty because She reflects Her Bridegroom.   This is the Bride for which Jesus is coming, the spotless Bride who has made herself ready. The fulfillment of David’s Tabernacle will also signify the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles!

Is it any wonder that the 40-Day David’s Tent Worship event is going on in Washington DC during this Feast?  (see www.DavidsTentDC.org)  This kind of event is the picture of what God desires.  Extended day and night worship is springing up all over the globe as believers from all streams come together for the sole purpose of worshipping Jesus.  When we participate in these events, we are changed.  We get a foretaste of our eternal destiny and it tastes GOOD! We hunger for more, we are compelled beyond our comfort zones and we press deeper into the heart of God.

So let us begin now, rehearsing in His Presence, rejoicing in His goodness, releasing His fragrance to attract the harvest for His Glory!   Celebrate this Feast knowing that the day is drawing near when we will see Him face to face, the day when Jesus receives His inheritance and we receive ours.  We anticipate partaking of the fullness of His glory.  We cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus, Come!”

God’s Fall Festival

19 September 2012
Comments Off on God’s Fall Festival

While the three spring feasts picture events that have been fulfilled, the fall feasts symbolize that which is yet to come.  In our generation, these feasts are exceedingly important because the time of their fulfillment is NOW.  We are in the last days.  These feasts, celebrated yearly, are dress rehearsals for church, the Bride of Christ, to meet her Bridegroom at Jesus’ second coming.  The day of Jesus’ second coming is the culmination of human history, described as the “great and terrible Day of the Lord.”  We should not expect that we will just coast into this great event.  The Bible has much to say about these last days and many warnings are issued to make sure that we prepare ourselves to meet our King.  If we were invited to meet with a famous person or one who is in a position of authority, we would give some attention to how we would present ourselves.  How much more should we give great attention to preparing to meet the King of all Kings, our Creator, and the One Who gave His all for us!

These three fall feasts take place in the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar, the month of Tishri. On our Roman calendar, this is during the months of September and October.  The Feast of Trumpets falls on the first day of the month of Tishri beginning at sundown and continues for two days.  Ten days later is the Day of Atonement.  This ten-day timeframe is called the Ten Days of Awe, a time of personal examination and reflection.  This is followed by the Feast of Tabernacles, the “Great Feast,” as it was called in John 7:37 when Jesus was about to reveal Himself as “the Living Water.”

I believe that the three fall feasts represent three aspects of the end-times.  The Feast of Trumpets is a time of awakening.  God is calling His Body, His Bride to awaken and return to Him.  The time has come for us to be cleansed of things of this world and focus our hearts and minds solely on Him.  The First Commandment, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength,” must have first place in our hearts.  Jesus is returning for a pure, spotless Bride.  We must be done with lesser things. We are called to glory in our King, we are called to greatness, we are called to rule and reign with Him.  That is our destiny and it’s time that we begin to focus on eternity rather than being caught in the muck of this world.  As we do this, we begin to see things shift in the world around us.   We begin to pursue the things of God’s heart.  We cry out for revival, we go after the harvest, we stand in the authority given to us and call forth Light into the darkness.  Signs and wonders abound, people are set free, healed, delivered, and equipped.  The Kingdom of God comes into manifestation.  This is the season we are in.  We are living in the Feast of Trumpets.

These things must occur before the Day the Lord.  The Day of Atonement symbolizes Judgment Day.  This day separates the saved from the unsaved.  The door will be shut and the Bridegroom and His Bride will move on to the wedding banquet…..

The Feast of Tabernacles pictures that event….when we will dwell forever in the Presence of our beautiful Bridegroom, King and Judge.  The tone of this feast is extreme rejoicing and celebrating.  We celebrate His goodness and provision.  We celebrate the harvest of souls.  We celebrate our permanent dwelling with Him.  This is our eternal destiny, the day we long for.  This is the day for which we must prepare NOW.

The Memorial of Blowing

18 September 2012

Leviticus 23:24-25; Numbers 29:1-6

When the Israelites were in the desert, God commanded them to blow the trumpet on the first day of the seventh month.  He stated this was a holy convocation, a sacred assembly.  But why?  No reason is given.  He does not say that this ceremony commemorates anything.  To understand the intent of God’s heart for this Feast, we must look at how the trumpet or shofar was used throughout the Bible.  God’s Word does not signify whether the silver trumpet or the shofar should be used so we will consider both.

The following examples were excerpted from The Feasts of the Lord1 by Kevin Howard and Marvin Rosenthal.

  1. Assemble the tribes for breaking camp and setting out – Numbers 10:1-7
  2. Rejoicing at His sacred assemblies, feasts and New Moon (Firstfruits) celebrations – Leviticus 23:24; Numbers 10:10
  3. Gain victory in battle, assemble the army, sound the alarm for battle – Numbers 10:9; Judges 3:27, 7:22; Nehemiah 4:20; Ezekiel 33:3
  4. Coronation of a new king – 1 Kings 1: 34; 2 Kings 11:14
  5. The Day of the arrival of Messiah – Zechariah 9:14

In Leviticus 23:24, the literal rendering of this feast is “a memorial of blowing.”  A memorial is for remembering.  Considering the reasons for blowing a trumpet along with the call to remembrance, I believe that God is saying, “Remember that the Day of the Lord is soon approaching.  A great battle will precede His arrival and you must be prepare yourself for this battle.  The sound of the trumpet is the call to assemble for battle.  Assess your life.  Devote yourself wholly to me, be single focused.  All of hell will be set against you, but if I am first in your life, you have been assured the victory.  When the battle is over, I will take my place as King of Kings and there will be no more tears. Then together, we will shout a victory cry!”

An Awakening Cry

The shofar blast is deep, penetrating sound meant to arouse our spirits to attention.  It is an awakening cry, stirring us from our slumber and calling us to the battle lines.  Taking a look at Noah might help us to understand this time a little more.

Noah had received a word from God that judgment was about to come to the earth in the form of a flood.  Prior to this time, God had given the people many chances to return to Him.  He was always calling to His people.  This Word from God was a wake-up call for Noah, God had his full attention.   Noah was determined to listen to every word God said and obey it.  God gave him step-by-step instructions for how to save himself and his family.  The ark was built, Noah and his family entered the ark and it began to rain.  The people still stood mocking Noah.  How might Noah have felt at this sober time?  It must have been a great joy to Noah that he and his loved ones were safe, but imagine the horror of knowing that all the people that stood mocking would soon be crying out for their lives.  Noah’s heart must have been grieved.  For this reason, the Bible says in Genesis 7:16, “the Lord closed the door behind him.”  God knew that Noah’s heart of  compassion would not allow him to stand there and shut that door in the faces of those he knew, those that were going to die, those that suddenly wanted to change their minds about how they had been living.  Noah would want to save them, too!  Wouldn’t you?  But God’s word was final.  He shut the door.

This story gives us a glimpse into the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord.  There will be those who have mocked us, mocked God, lived unrighteously and never believed a word of the Bible who will suddenly have the door closed in their face on that day Jesus returns for His Bride.   And we, though we are assured a place around the banquet table of the Lord, will have a heart of compassion and feel great grief for them.  Then, it will be too late!  But today is still the Day of Salvation…..

So what does the Memorial of Blowing mean to us now?  How do we get ready?

First, we make sure our hearts are like Noah’s.  We ask Holy Spirit to search our hearts and reveal the things that are displeasing to Him.  Then we clean our house and receive forgiveness through Jesus’ blood.  The price has been paid for our sin once and for all.  We need only to receive it and treasure our salvation in Him.

Then, we determine to search out the mysteries of God’s heart.  He has given us the written Word, so that we can know Him.  He has given us Holy Spirit as a teacher and a light.  He has also promised us that when we seek Him with all of our hearts, we will find Him.  He has much to say about this time in which  we now live.  He wants us to know what is to come and to be firmly established in His Word so that we will not be shaken by the catastrophic events that are going to occur.

Finally, we receive the call to be God’s shofar!  We purpose to become the voice of truth that speaks wherever God gives us access.  The time is short.  It is no time to spare our family and friends from the truth.  We have the gift of salvation to share and share we must.  Those that refuse His gift of salvation will suffer greatly.  We are here on the earth to bring God’s love, light and life to those that have ears to hear in the midst of chaos and destruction. This is still the day of salvation and many are looking for Him….Yeshua, our Messiah!

Shana Tova!

Time to Bring Forth What You Have Seen

16 August 2012
Comments Off on Time to Bring Forth What You Have Seen

God releases prophetic vision to those He chooses so they can lead others to bring the vision into manifestation.   When God gives the vision, it is for the purpose of allowing the recipient to “see” what God sees.  If then, they obey God, God will provide all that is necessary to make the vision a reality according to His timing.

Abraham was an example for us.  In Genesis, God had told Abraham five times that He was making covenant with him and that He would multiply his seed to possess the land.  Like us, Abraham struggled to believe this at times.   He tried to make things happen.  Then in Genesis 22, God invited Abraham into a new level of revelation.

“…God tested Abraham and said to him…”take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering ….”  Gen 22:1-2

Moriah means ‘chosen by God, seen by God.’  God wanted Abraham to ‘see’ that He would provide all that was needed to secure the covenant He made with him.  In the place where Abraham stumbled and tried to figure out how to “have a son” thereby producing Ishmael, God had to prove Abraham.  Would Abraham really believe what God had said and could he trust God to provide?

This time Abraham obeyed perfectly.  He told Isaac, “God will provide the lamb” for the sacrifice.  “Provide” is the same word as SEE, the Hebrew word Ra’ah.  Even though God’s instruction seemed to contradict His promise, Abraham lifted his hand to slay Isaac.  Abraham was no longer relying on his own understanding.  God stopped him (at the last minute) and then drew his attention to the bush where the ram was caught.  Now Abraham could SEE what God provided and he offered his sacrifice.  Abraham called the place, “The Lord Sees.”

Abraham caught God’s vision.  He SAW what God SAW.  His faith had come to a new level and he trusted God rather than looking for an alternative sacrifice, one that he could create.  Abraham had been proved and now God was able to release provision to him.  The whole experience was not about the offering, it was about obedience.

In these last days, in this season of seeing (Ayin),  God is calling to all who will see with Him.  He is releasing a new wave of prophetic revelation (also called The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation), regarding His end-time plan.  He is looking for partners that will believe Him even when His instructions seem contradictory to His promise.

In Daniel 11:32, God says, “But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.”

When you look at the Hebrew words for “know” and “exploits,” you find the true meaning of this verse is,

Those who have ‘seen’ with their God will bring forth what they have seen!

V 33 – Those who have gained this understanding through prophetic revelation will be considered wise and successful in God’s eyes.  God will allow them to teach and instruct many.

God is releasing supernatural wisdom, revelation, and vision for those who will partner with Him to bring forth His Kingdom. He wants us to SEE what He sees, the future of His Kingdom.  We get to partake of the glory that He has prepared, but we also get to share in the sufferings.  Verses 33-34  go on to say that those who have understanding will also be persecuted, taken into captivity and killed.  But God will be their victory.  He will send the Holy Spirit and angels to help them.  They will be few in number but mighty in strength.  Many deceivers will join with them in an attempt to weaken and divide their forces.  Some of them will stumble (as Abraham did), but it will be for the purpose of purifying them and proving them to be true.  This is promised for the appointed time – the last days – our day!

Oh Lord, open our eyes that we may see what You see, that we may gain prophetic vision and build Your Kingdom!

Pentecost…Power to Birth the Kingdom

27 May 2012
Comments Off on Pentecost…Power to Birth the Kingdom

The Old

Moses received the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai on Pentecost.  In the Old Testament this feast was called the Feast of Weeks.  We know that beyond the 10 Commandments, God gave Moses the details of His Law for living in the Promised Land.  The people stood at the base of the mountain and witnessed God speaking to Moses through billows of smoke, lightning, thunder and fire.  What they saw terrified them.  Exodus 19:16-22 gives us this account.

It was the giving of the Law that birthed the Hebrew people into the nation of Israel.  Without a Law, the people cannot be free.  God’s Law set their boundaries, it established their culture and assured their freedom, if they would obey it.  A culture without laws is lawless, it breeds fear and violence.  Proverbs tells us “Righteousness exalts a nation” (Pr 14:34) and ”When the righteous rule, the city rejoices “ (Pr 11:10).

The New

Forty days after His Resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven and told the disciples to wait for the promise from on high.  They weren’t really sure what was going to happen.  Ten days later, they were all gathered in the Upper Room when the Holy Spirit came from Heaven with the noise of a violent rushing wind.  It appeared that the Holy Spirit rested on the believers like tongues of fire.  This was the gift of Holy Spirit given to the church. (Acts 2 and Joel 2)

This was 50 days after Resurrection Day and no coincidence that it happened at the same time that God had given the Law to Moses.  In the Greek speaking culture of Jesus’ Day, it became known as Pentecost.  For Moses and the Hebrews in the Promised Land, the law was given to point them to their need for a Savior, which would come many years later.  To those who believed in Jesus and the church that would grow through the ages, God gave the Holy Spirit to empower us to become like Jesus and lead others to Him.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.  (John 3:16)

Up until this time, God had dealt primarily with the Hebrew people.  But the giving of the Holy Spirit was for ALL who believed.  The giving of the Holy Spirit birthed a new entity in the earth called the church, Jew and Gentile, or One New Man.

The Law was given while the Hebrews were still in the desert with a promise that God taking them to the Promised Land.  They knew they would not stay in the desert forever and the Laws were given for the time when they would live in the Land.  They practiced the Laws in the desert, but they would be fully manifested in the Promised Land.  In the context of their day, part of celebrating this festival was to offer a wave offering of two loaves of bread made from their wheat harvest at a time when they weren’t yet growing crops.

The Now

The Holy Spirit was given to the Church at the beginning of the Church age with a promise of living eternally in the Kingdom of God.  We know that we will not remain on earth forever, but soon and very soon, Jesus will return to receive His Bride and we will rule and reign with Him in His millennial reign on earth and for all eternity in the New Jerusalem.  Our destiny is the Kingdom, but that is not reserved for some future day.  We are NOW entering the Kingdom age so that we can partner with Jesus to bring the Kingdom to earth as it is in Heaven.  The Holy Spirit was given on that first Pentecost, but throughout Scripture we can see that the promise of the power of Holy Spirit has always exceeded what we have witnessed.  In our day, a new fullness of time moment is occurring and God is releasing to us a new, fresh baptism that will allow us to accomplish God’s end-time purposes.  It’s not a “new” Holy Spirit, like something new we’ve never seen before, but it’s “new” in the sense of fresh, powerful, and relevant for our day.  Can you receive it?  Are you ready to believe for something new?

We, like the disciples of old, are waiting and expecting this outpouring, but we aren’t really sure of what is going to happen or what it is going to look like.  If we read the promises of what’s to come in the last days, we might be tempted to be fearful, but the Holy Spirit in us makes us bold, makes us fearless, so we can partner with Jesus to birth and build His Kingdom. Each of us has a dream in us, placed there by God, that is a piece of His Kingdom.  We birth the dream and then work with Him and His Body to see all the pieces of the puzzle fit together to manifest His Kingdom on earth.  He wants us to KNOW we have all that we need to be victorious through every trial and tribulation we will encounter.  But it’s not just about enduring the tough stuff, it’s about having joy, assurance of His Presence, peace and well-being, confidence in His love and great courage.  We are becoming the Pure, Spotless Bride, full of  the Love of God, fearless in the face of danger, and willing to lay down our lives for each other.  The outpouring of God’s Spirit this Pentecost and in the coming days will far exceed what we can imagine.  Stir up your expectation, receive the fresh baptism and get ready to build with Him! Let Him open your eyes to see what you could not see before, let Him move your heart to pursue what you could not pursue before, let Him fill your mouth so you can say what you couldn’t say before.  Surrender to Him and be filled with the Holy Spirit.  Lord, let your Kingdom Come!

Happy Pentecost!

Sealed With Fire

Ring of Fire 05_20_12

Set me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm…Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.  SOS 8:6

As I was reading Song of Solomon this morning and came to the verse above, the Lord quickened to me  the picture of the solar eclipse this past weekend…the moon encircled by the sun was called “ring of fire.”   He showed me this is the prophetic picture of the “seal” of marriage to Jesus…the completeness of this season, the Bride (moon) equally yoked to Jesus (Sun)  in voluntary love.  Jesus the Son, perfectly aligned with His Bride.  His fire seals us because we have chosen to submit to Him completely.

It is symbolic of this Pentecost when Jesus is baptizing His Bride with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Luke 3:16).  “When the day of Pentecost had fully come…and there appeared to them tongues as of fire…and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.”  Acts 2:1-4

The fullness of time has come for the first wave of the Bride to be unveiled, Jesus is placing His ring of fire on Her finger, and the Holy Spirit is releasing a fresh baptism that will fill our mouths with a new sound.  We will speak what the Father speaks, when we open our mouths He will fill it.

Jesus declaring the maturity of His Bride to those that have gone through this wilderness season with Him.  It is His declaration that we have completed our season and have gained our identity.  Our cry for the First Commandment to be reality in our hearts has been answered.  We have withstood the temptations, we have thrown away other gods, we have surrendered our rights to Him and given Him our all.  We now carry the fullness of His heart in us and He is releasing new assignments to minister to the rest of the Bride, those that have not yet been awakened as well as the unbelievers, out of the Holy love of God.  It takes God to love God and that fullness is in us.  It takes God in us for us to love the Church and Israel and that fullness is in us.  We have become the nurturers, the spiritual mothers and fathers for the next generation (not by age, but by their maturity in the Kingdom).

We now possess a confidence and boldness that we have not had before.  We have been tested and tried and found true.  Our hearts have been purified by His grace.  We are truly One with our Beloved and He entrusts us with this ministry knowing that no longer will we pursue our own agendas, but we will listen to the voice of the Bridegroom and minister from the intimacy of our relationship with Him.

Oh, let us celebrate this Pentecost with great expectation and confidence in our Beloved, let us love as we have been loved.  Let the harvest begin!

Why Should You Celebrate Firstfruits?

26 February 2012
Comments Off on Why Should You Celebrate Firstfruits?

Celebrating Firstfruits, or any of God’s Holidays, is not about trying to be Jewish.  The call to celebrate God’s Holidays is a call to know God more intimately.  When Father God established His Feasts in the Old Testament, He was not establishing ritual.  He was ordaining a time of blessing that was organic.  In other words, each time we gather to celebrate with Him, He brings something fresh, something new and living, with which to bless us.  If we choose not to celebrate, He’s not going to be mad at us, but we will miss out on having a great time with our Dad.

Firstfruits is a principle in the Word of God that means we bring God our best and He blesses the rest.  When the Jews celebrated, they offered God the first portion of their crops and livestock and then trusted Him to bless and multiply the rest.  The first portion of anything is special and we honor God by giving it to Him.  We meet with God at the first of each Hebrew month to hear what He has to say about this period of time.  Each month has significance in God’s calendar and it’s a blessing to hear His direction.  He gives us what we need to be successful in our journey through life.  Many people rely on horoscopes to give them insight to what’s going on, but God created the stars and set them in place to create the constellations.  God created the moon and ordained its orbit.  These are signs in the heavenlies that communicate God’s message.  Horoscopes are the devil’s counterfeit.

The Hebrew name of the month, represented by a Hebraic letter, is a pictogram.  The “picture” of the month gives insight into its meaning.  Each of the twelve months are also linked with one of the twelve  tribes of Israel.  The characteristics of the month are driven by the characteristic of its tribe as described in the Word.

So what does all this mean?  God’s plan is a plan of redemption and blessing.  He has set “appointed times and seasons” for us to meet with Him and receive revelation so that we can fulfill our destiny.  His cycles of blessings are meant to take us from one level of glory to another – glory to glory, strength to strength.  I like to picture it as a spiral that leads upward toward heaven.  Each year we celebrate the same feasts, but if we are moving with God through His cycles, we are celebrating on a higher level each year.  We continue to gain revelation as we go through the cycles.

The Firstfruits celebration is a time to gain strategy. If we will set apart the first of the month to celebrate with Him, God will reveal what to watch out for and how to pursue our destiny to its fullness.  God wants to give you the keys to increase and multiply in your life.  He wants you to succeed!  He wants you to regain what the enemy has stolen from you.  He wants you to understand how to work with the angels.

You may ask why you haven’t heard much about this if it’s so important.  The truth is that God’s Feast times are something that the enemy has wanted to keep a secret;  so, using the religious spirit, he sought to convince the early church that these were “Jewish” and they didn’t belong to “Christians.”  He wanted the church to believe that these were the old dispensation so that we would miss out on the blessings that Abba Father wanted to give.  He was very successful at this – for a time.  But now, God’s people are hungry for Truth.  By searching the Word, one cannot escape the emphasis on celebrating God’s Feasts.  Hunger has caused people to ask the Holy Spirit the important question – “Are these relevant for us today?”  And He is responding by restoring this revelation to the Body of Christ.  There are many that still have not understood it, but God wants all His people to know the Truth.  He wants all His people to receive His blessings.  This is how we will become the pure and spotless Bride of Christ.  God is restoring Truth to His people.  If you don’t yet know anyone that participates in these feasts, begin to ask Holy Spirit to teach you and lead you to others that have this understanding.  He will certainly do that and then you can be one that leads others to their blessings.

This is the season to step into all God has to offer.  Don’t miss your blessings.  Celebrate Firstfruits!

What Do Legos and Taxes Have In Common?

12 January 2012
Comments Off on What Do Legos and Taxes Have In Common?

I had to laugh.  For the past several days, I was fretting over whether or not to spend $125 to send my son to a Lego Class.  I felt that this was something that would really benefit him at this time.  I am always torn between spending money I have on things that aren’t absolutely essential but desired, or holding on to every cent to make sure bills are paid.  I never know where the next funding is going to come from for my bills, so planning and budgeting is basically impossible.  I must live by asking God and making decisions based on what I believe He is saying.  I am always super conservative.  I give and believe but never want to be presumptuous regarding what I need versus what I want.

So, while I paid half the amount to the Lego class and was wondering where the other $60 was going to come from, a bill for $5100 comes in the mail that’s due by Feb 1, the same time the $60 is due.  Ha!  I looked up to my Heavenly Father and chuckled, “OK, Dad, whatcha gonna do about this?”  Of course, when I saw the big bill, fear started racing through my mind, but I quickly had to put the brakes on it and return to remembering how BIG my God is!  Truth is, for the past 3 years He has arranged for our taxes to be paid.  Truth is, He has been fighting for our house that’s been in foreclosure for the past 2 years and has reassured us of a favorable outcome over and over again.  This situation has sat in court for a long time, but is now moving forward and we have every reason to believe for the BEST!  Has God brought us through all this only to let taxes trip us up this year?  I don’t think so!  For three years my husband has only worked short stints at temporary jobs or side jobs, yet God has provided for us and never have we had a utility shut off or had a monthly payment that didn’t get paid.  At times, it seemed there was no way we would survive, but we have survived by the grace and mercy of our Loving and Gracious Father!

And now we are in a new season, the season of miracles, the season of abundance, the season of the latter rain!  God has been speaking through His prophets and there is agreement that NOW is the TIME for promises to be seen, NOW is the time that God is releasing inheritance so that the Kingdom of God can advance.  Financial issues have been a major struggle for much of the Body of Christ in the past several years.  Many have lost everything, many have been without jobs, many have lost houses, but this is the TIME of restoration.  God has tested and tried His people and now He is bringing us forth like gold.  He is about to entrust the riches of heaven to those that have been tried and proven.  He is about to meet our little needs that seem so huge to us, so that we can take the riches of Heaven and BUILD His Kingdom.  My house needs lots of repairs after years of no maintenance, but those things are so small to our God.  He is concerned about building His House and it takes lots of money to accomplish these things.  God has demonstrated this through Glory of Zion Ministries’ purchase of the old Boeing facility in Corinth, TX.  This old warehouse and desolate land has been transformed into a Global Kingdom Outpost in just about one year. Global Spheres Center is now a gathering place for the nations, as well as a community center.  The facility houses a large sanctuary for major conferences, an international Prayer Tower, an eating area, offices, a recreation center, business offices and a beautiful Israel prayer garden.  They transformed the building and the land with great beauty. It reflects the glory and majesty of God’s kingdom.   As they put their faith and their hands to work, God supplied the finances to complete this colossal project.  It is truly beautiful and a testimony to what God is about to do through His Body in the earth.  If you don’t know about this project, you can check out their testimony at www.gloryofzion.org   It’s really important to “see” what God has done here!

Writing this little testimony has caused me to remember the goodness of God.  I hope that whatever you are facing today that looks impossible will become small in the light of Glory of God.  Take time today to remember how He has carried you in the past several years.  Look around and see how He has carried others.  Let go of judgments against others and acknowledge God’s goodness to all.  Then let your faith arise!  Get to work building what He has told you to build and trust Him to supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory.  Hold on to every promise, for this is the TIME for promises to come to pass.  This is the time for restoration.  Call forth the new to arise from the ashes and be blessed!
